Completed in September 2009 using Xero Flor standard green roof system (12 lbs per sq ft) and an intensive system with ornamental grasses in 6” of soil (30lbs per sq ft) on a conventional roofing assembly.
The Marshwood residence green roof provides a beautiful outdoor view from the family’s study room. A pre-grown sedum carpet was installed on the majority of the roof and ornamental grasses are concentrated on a kidney shaped berm. The tall grasses are meant to create a privacy screen for guests enjoying the green roof view from the balcony.
